I it searched for, but it could not find You.
I it loudly called You, standing on the minaret.
I it rang into the chromium bell with rise and Sunset.
I bathed in the waters of the Ganges, but everything in vain.
I it returned from Kaaby by that disappointed.
I it searched for You on the earth,
I searched for You before the skies, my Beloved.
And finally I it found You,
hidden, similar to pearl,
in the shell of my Heart.
